The “The Book of Life” ribbon will have a sequel


The animated film “The Book of Life,” directed by Mexican Jorge. R. Gutiérrez and produced by compatriot Guillermo del Toro, will have a sequel, reported Thursday’s online edition of the journal Variety.

The original film, released in 2014, grossed about $ 100 million from a budget of 50 million.

The then be signed by the animation studio Animation Reel FX, as in the first installment, and will once again Gutiérrez behind the scenes.

That story revolved around the Mexican celebration of the “Day of the Dead,” which celebrates the memory of the dead with colorful offerings.

The film told the life of Manolo, a bullfighter young man who is torn between fulfilling the expectations of your family or follow your heart and pursue his true passion: music.

Before choosing the path that will follow, he embarks on an adventure through fantastic worlds where he will face his biggest fears.

The voice cast tape names gathered ringside as Channing Tatum, Zoe Saldana, Diego Luna, Christina Applegate, Ice Cube, Kate del Castillo, Ron Perlman and even Eugenio Derbez and Plácido Domingo, among others.
